Andrea taught at the Carden School of Bakersfield for 7 years and in the public school system for 5 years. Despite her professional experiences including international banking, writing copy for major publications and five years in a law office, she always returns to teaching. Christian values are promoted in her classroom by setting examples of fairness and tolerance.

The students adhere to a high code of conduct for behavior. Andrea knows it is important that students respect authority, one another and themselves as individuals. She reads age appropriate literature daily to the students. A few of the student's favorites include Milton Tolkein, Roald Dahl and Umerto Eco. The majority of her students have attended college with several attending Ivy League universities. Her hobbies include running marathons and her joy at being a Master Gardener.
